Boiling steel is a kind of incomplete deoxidation of steel, only a certain amount of weak deoxidizer deoxidizing liquid steel, liquid steel oxygen content is high, when the molten steel injected into the ingot mold, carbon and oxygen reaction produces a large number of gases, resulting in boiling liquid steel, from which the name of boiling steel. The carbon content of the boiling steel is low, and the silicon content of the steel is also low (Si< 0.07%). The outer layer of boiling steel is crystallized under the condition of intense agitation caused by boiling liquid steel, so the surface is pure, dense, the surface quality is good, there is a very good plasticity and stamping performance, there is no large concentrated shrinkage hole, less cutting head, high yield, and the production process of boiling steel is simple, ferro alloy consumption is less, steel cost is low. Boiling steel plate is widely used in the manufacture of various stamping parts, construction and engineering structures and some less important machine structural parts. However, there are more impurities in the core of the boiling steel, the segregation is serious, the structure is not compact, and the mechanical properties are not uniform. At the same time, due to more gas content in steel, so the toughness is low, cold brittle and aging sensitivity is large, welding performance is poor. Therefore, boiling steel plate is not suitable for manufacturing welding structures and other important structures that bear impact load and work at low temperature.
2, the killed steel plate is made of ordinary carbon structure steel killed steel hot rolled steel plate. Killed steel is completely deoxidized steel, liquid steel before pouring with ferromangmanganese, ferrosilicon and aluminum fully deoxidized, liquid steel oxygen content is low (generally 0.002-0.003%), liquid steel in the ingot mold is relatively calm, does not produce boiling phenomenon, killed steel thus named. Under normal operating conditions, there are no bubbles in the killed steel, and the microstructure is uniform and compact. Due to the low oxygen content, the oxide inclusion in steel is less, the purity is higher, and the cold brittle and aging tendency is small. At the same time, the segregation of the killed steel is small, the performance is more uniform, and the quality is higher. The disadvantages of killed steel are concentrated shrinkage, low yield and high price. Therefore, the quenched steel is mainly used in low-temperature impact components, welded structures and other components requiring high strength.
Low alloy steel plates are both killed steel and semi-killed steel plates. Because of high strength, superior performance, can save a lot of steel, reduce the weight of the structure, its application has been more and more widely.
Five, high quality carbon structural steel plate
High quality carbon structural steel is carbon steel with carbon content less than 0.8%, which contains less sulfur, phosphorus and non-metallic inclusions than carbon structural steel, and has better mechanical properties.
High quality carbon structural steels can be divided into three types according to their carbon content: low carbon steel (C≤0.25%), medium carbon steel (C 0.25-0.6%) and high carbon steel (C > 0.6%).
High quality carbon structural steels can be divided into two groups according to different manganese content: normal manganese content (0.25%-0.8%) and high manganese content (0.70%-1.20%). The latter has better mechanical properties and machining performance.
