Copper tubes, a type of non-ferrous metal tubes, are pressed and drawn seamless tubes. Trace impurities in copper have a serious impact on the electrical and thermal conductivity of copper. Among them, titanium, phosphorus, iron, silicon, etc. tend to reduce the conductivity. But cadmium, zinc, etc. have little effect. The copper mentioned here must contain more than 99.95% copper. A very small amount of impurities, especially phosphorus, aluminum, etc., will greatly reduce the conductivity of copper. Oxygen in copper (a small amount of oxygen is easily mixed in when copper is practiced) has a great influence on conductivity, and the copper used in the electrical industry must generally be oxygen-free copper.
