304 stainless steel: 0Cr18Ni9 (0Cr19Ni9) 06Cr19Ni9 S30408
Chemical composition :C: ≤0.08, Si: ≤1.0 Mn: ≤2.0, Cr: 18.0 ~ 20.0, Ni: 8.0 ~ 10.5, S: ≤0.03, P: ≤ 0.035N ≤0.1.
With 304L
Nature of the national standard
Tensile strength (Mpa) 520
Yield strength (Mpa) 205-210
Elongation (%) 40%
Hardness HB187 HRB90 HV200
304 stainless steel density 7.93 g/cm3 austenitic stainless steel generally use this value 304 chromium content (%) 17.00-19.00, nickel content (%) 8.00-10.00, 304 is equivalent to China's 0Cr19Ni9 (0Cr18Ni9) stainless steel
304 stainless steel is a universal stainless steel material, rust resistance is better than 200 series of stainless steel material. High temperature resistance is also better.
304 stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance and good intergranular corrosion resistance.
For oxidizing acid, in the experiment: concentration ≤65% of the boiling temperature of nitric acid, 304 stainless steel has a strong corrosion resistance. It also has good corrosion resistance to alkali solution and most organic and inorganic acids.
General features
The surface of 304 stainless steel plate is beautiful and the possibility of diversification
Good corrosion resistance, durability and corrosion resistance than ordinary steel
High strength, so the possibility of use of thin plate
High temperature oxidation resistance and high strength, so it can resist fire
Normal temperature processing, that is, easy plastic processing
Because do not need surface treatment, so simple, simple maintenance
Clean, high finish
Good welding performance
And the difference between 316
The most commonly used two kinds of stainless steel 304,316 (or corresponding to Germany/European standard 1.4308,1.4408), 316 and 304 in the chemical composition of the most important difference is that 316 contains Mo, and it is generally recognized that 316 corrosion resistance is better, more corrosion resistance than 304 in high temperature environment. Therefore, in high temperature environment, engineers generally choose parts made of 316 material. But there is no absolute matter, in concentrated sulfuric acid environment, no matter how high the temperature is, do not use 316! This is gonna be a big deal. Those of you who study mechanics have studied threads, and remember MoS2, a dark, solid lubricant applied to prevent threads from biting at high temperatures, which leads to two conclusions: [1]Mo is indeed a high-temperature substance (know what crucible gold is melted in? Molybdenum crucible!) . [2] : Molybdenum reacts easily with high sulfur ions to form sulfide. So no stainless steel is super resistant to corrosion. After all, stainless steel is a piece of steel with more impurities (but those impurities are more resistant to corrosion than steel), and it can react with other substances.
